"Rebel Moon" is a science fiction film directed by Zack Snyder, released in two parts on Netflix. The first part, "Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire," premiered on December 21, 2023, and the second part, "Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver," is set for release on April 19, 2024. The story, inspired by Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai," follows Kora, a former soldier who rallies warriors to defend a peaceful colony against the tyrannical Imperium. The ensemble cast includes Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, and Charlie Hunnam. The film received mixed reviews, with praise for its visuals and action but criticism for its pacing and character development. A director's cut is also planned for release.
